Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT systems and networks for state government operations.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with federal and state data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade legacy systems and improve workflow efficiency.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate system logs for all IT activities.
- Respond to service tickets and resolve critical outages with minimal downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record (if applicable to travel).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Proven experience working in a government or large-scale enterprise IT environment.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and network protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
