Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Processing: Gather, clean, and integrate large-scale datasets from various federal sources to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Apply advanced statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to identify patterns, anomalies, and correlations within complex federal datasets.
- Visualization & Reporting: Develop interactive dashboards and comprehensive reports using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders and policymakers effectively.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all data handling processes adhere to strict federal regulations, including FISMA, FedRAMP, and OMB guidelines.
- Decision Support: Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic planning and operational improvements within federal agencies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with subject matter experts to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and tailor analytical approaches to specific project needs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, or SAS. Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or similar).
- Security Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise business insights.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of federal data privacy laws and security standards.
