Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job announcements, applicant screening, and interview coordination
- Ensure adherence to federal HR policies (Title 5, USC) and VA personnel regulations
- Develop and implement employee development programs and performance management systems
- Handle employee relations matters including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
- Maintain accurate HR records in VA's HRIS system (e.g., HR Direct)
- Support workforce planning initiatives and organizational development projects
- Provide guidance to managers on classification, compensation, and staffing actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- One year of specialized experience at GS-9 level or equivalent
- Knowledge of federal HR regulations and VA policies
- Experience with HRIS systems and HR data analytics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
