Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and vulnerability scans of federal information systems.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Ensure full compliance with federal standards such as FISMA, NIST, and DOD directives.
- Manage incident response procedures and coordinate with internal teams to mitigate security breaches.
- Develop and maintain documentation for security policies and incident reports.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff on cybersecurity best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT systems administration.
- Familiarity with federal IT frameworks and cloud security (AWS/Azure) is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for writing technical reports and presenting to stakeholders.
