Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Systems: Conduct 24/7 monitoring of network traffic, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and response to security breaches, ensuring minimal impact on federal operations.
- Data Analysis: Analyze complex data logs and audit trails to ensure compliance with federal standards and protocols.
- System Hardening: Perform vulnerability assessments and implement necessary patches to secure federal systems.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed reports on security incidents, audits, and system configurations for regulatory compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the federal client team to address security concerns and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Must possess an active Secret or Top Secret clearance with favorable adjudication.
- Education: Bachelorβs degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal cybersecurity or information assurance.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work the night shift (e.g., 10:00 PM β 6:00 AM).
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or GSEC certification is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, VPN).
