Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for federal information systems
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity protocols aligned with NIST and FISMA standards
- Lead incident response activities during security breaches and cyber-attacks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous security monitoring
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and federal auditors
- Maintain security documentation and conduct regular security awareness training
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in federal IT security roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CISM certification required
- Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA compliance frameworks
- Proven experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network security
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
