Responsibilities
- Implement and manage federal information security protocols to ensure compliance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses.
- Oversee the configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to federal staff regarding cybersecurity best practices and incident response procedures.
- Analyze security logs and threat intelligence to proactively mitigate cyber risks and prevent data breaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Prepare and submit required federal security reports and documentation for audits and inspections.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with favorable adjudication is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Certification as a CISSP, CISM, or Security+ is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or related government contracting.
- Deep understanding of FedRAMP, DIACAP, and federal IT governance frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with senior leadership.
