Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal cybersecurity protocols across classified and unclassified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government networks
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach mitigation efforts
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal IT security standards
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Collaborate with DHS and partner agencies on security initiatives
- Manage security monitoring tools and generate compliance reports
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required for federal security clearance)
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in IT security or network administration
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Familiarity with federal IT frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
