Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust cybersecurity frameworks for federal systems and networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM tools and develop incident response protocols
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DHS security standards
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Develop and deliver security awareness training for federal personnel
- Manage encryption protocols and access control systems
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT security roles
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight) and network security tools
- Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to document complex security procedures
