Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal IT security controls across cloud and hybrid infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead breach mitigation efforts
- Ensure compliance with Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP)
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to enhance national cybersecurity posture
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools and respond to critical incidents
- Document security policies and procedures in accordance with federal regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal IT security compliance
- Proficiency with NIST SP 800-53 controls framework
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
