Responsibilities
- Monitor and defend federal IT systems against cyber threats during weekend shifts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Implement and maintain security protocols (NIST, FISMA compliance)
- Respond to security incidents with rapid containment and mitigation
- Collaborate with federal agencies on threat intelligence sharing
- Document security procedures and prepare compliance reports
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in IT security operations
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Familiarity with federal IT security frameworks
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
