Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems including network infrastructure and cybersecurity protocols
- Provide technical support for VA healthcare applications and veteran-facing digital platforms
- Implement system upgrades and patches following federal compliance standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Document system configurations and create disaster recovery plans
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Train staff on new technologies and security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with federal IT systems or DoD/VA environments
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare data systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
