Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced cybersecurity protocols and firewalls to protect organizational networks.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify potential weaknesses.
- Manage incident response procedures, including digital forensics and malware analysis.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations such as FISMA, NIST, and HIPAA.
- Configure and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) within a hybrid environment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff members on security policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT support within the federal or defense sector.
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or equivalent industry-recognized credential.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with SIEM tools and log analysis (e.g., Splunk).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
