The Role:
As a Federal IT Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure IT infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with federal stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology solutions that meet strict compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Administer and secure federal network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments in compliance with federal regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new software and hardware solutions.
- Provide technical training and support to junior staff and end-users.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or a related technical role.
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Strong knowledge of federal IT security protocols (NIST, FISMA).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
