Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems including servers, networks, and databases
- Implement cybersecurity protocols compliant with FISMA and NIST standards
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for 500+ federal employees
- Coordinate system upgrades and migrations while minimizing operational disruption
- Document IT processes and maintain comprehensive system documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT initiatives and compliance audits
- Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies
- Train staff on new technologies and security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies
- Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks (FISMA, NIST)
- Experience with IT service management tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
