Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain complex federal network infrastructure and hardware systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, patch management, and security updates on servers and workstations.
- Respond to and resolve Level 3 helpdesk tickets and critical system alerts during off-hours.
- Document system configurations, incidents, and changes in accordance with federal compliance standards (ITIL, FISMA).
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to ensure seamless handover of ongoing projects and system status.
- Conduct security assessments and ensure compliance with DoD and agency security protocols.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent military/experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering within a federal or government contracting environment.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Cisco/Juniper routers/switches, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
