Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex federal network infrastructure and hardware systems to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data in compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for federal clients, providing tier-3 technical support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new software solutions and system upgrades.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and incident reports.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate potential risks.
- Provide technical training and mentorship to junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret or Secret security clearance (must be transferable).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or systems administration.
- Certifications such as Security+, Network+, CISSP, or CEH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-stakes environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance if not already holding a Secret/Top Secret.
