Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain federal network infrastructure during night hours to ensure 99.9% uptime and system stability.
- Perform proactive troubleshooting and diagnostics for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks, patches, and security updates in adherence to federal compliance standards (FISMA).
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks in the operational environment.
- Respond to critical help desk tickets and emergency alerts with urgency and precision.
- Document all system changes, incidents, and resolutions in the IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand off critical alerts and ensure seamless continuity of operations.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Proficiency with federal IT protocols, including ITAR and EAR compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
