Responsibilities
- Monitor Federal Infrastructure: Actively monitor server environments, networks, and applications to ensure 99.9% uptime for federal clients during the night shift.
- Troubleshoot & Resolve: Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to strict federal security protocols, including physical access control and data handling procedures.
- Incident Reporting: Document all incidents, resolutions, and system changes in the CMDB and provide nightly status reports.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine patching, backups, and system updates outside of business hours.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with day-shift teams to ensure seamless handovers and continuity of service.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Current Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain) is required for this federal position.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and common networking protocols.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to document technical processes effectively.
