Responsibilities
- Monitor federal communication networks and IT systems during assigned night shifts to ensure continuous operational uptime.
- Execute security protocols and incident response procedures in adherence to federal compliance standards.
- Analyze system logs and alerts to identify potential threats or anomalies before they escalate.
- Document all system events and security incidents accurately in the central database.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand over critical information and resolve pending issues seamlessly.
- Conduct routine system audits and patch management tasks to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Provide exceptional technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network operations, IT support, or federal contracting.
- Proven ability to work rotating night shifts and maintain high performance during low-visibility periods.
- Strong understanding of federal IT infrastructure and security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting complex technical data.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools, remote access software, and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow).
