Key Responsibilities:
As a Night Shift IT Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and availability of federal information systems. You will work directly with federal personnel to resolve technical issues and ensure business continuity during off-hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for federal hardware and software systems during night operations.
- Monitor network infrastructure, server health, and security logs to detect and respond to anomalies.
- Perform system backups, patch management, and routine maintenance tasks outside of standard business hours.
- Assist federal employees with password resets, software installations, and troubleshooting hardware peripherals.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and maintenance activities in the IT Service Management (ITSM) database.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal security protocols, access control policies, and data privacy regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or system engineering.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
