Location: Raleigh, North Carolina (On-site)
Shift: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Monday - Friday)
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, servers, and workstations during the night shift to ensure maximum availability and performance.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to federal staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues remotely and on-site.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal security protocols, including access control auditing and data protection measures.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates during low-traffic hours.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and incident reports accurately in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to ensure seamless handover of critical issues and system status.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent military/technical experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
- Experience working in a federal, state, or local government environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts without supervision.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), VPNs, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a government security clearance.
