Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Remote IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to City employees from a remote location. As a key member of our IT team, you will ensure that our internal systems remain secure, efficient, and accessible for all staff members regardless of their physical location.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues via phone and remote access tools.
- Manage and respond to helpdesk tickets in a timely manner, ensuring a high level of customer service for City staff.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, laptops, and peripherals.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal IT security policies and data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with the central IT team to resolve complex technical issues and implement system upgrades.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents and resolutions within the ticketing system.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or help desk operations.
- Proven experience working remotely and managing time independently.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and operating systems (Windows 10/11).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances.
