Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for federal staff, including hardware, software, and network issues.
- Monitor and maintain the agency's IT infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical systems.
- Assist in the implementation and management of cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Document all technical incidents, resolutions, and system configurations in the Service Desk Management System.
- Conduct regular system audits and hardware inventory checks to ensure asset accuracy.
- Collaborate with the IT Director to identify areas for process improvement and system optimization.
- Provide training and guidance to non-technical staff on the proper use of government-approved software and tools.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Current Top Secret clearance (or eligibility to obtain one) is required.
- Experience with Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) and security clearance processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of Linux or Unix operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network and hardware issues remotely.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a part-time schedule.
