Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate veterans' disability compensation claims for accuracy and completeness
- Analyze medical records and supporting documentation to determine eligibilityCommunicate claim decisions to veterans and their representatives
- Maintain detailed case records in VA systems (VBMS, VBA)
- Ensure strict adherence to federal regulations (38 CFR)
- Collaborate with medical professionals and legal advisors
- Participate in quarterly quality assurance reviews
Qualifications
- Associate degree or 60+ college credits in healthcare, law, or related field
- Minimum 1 year claims processing experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- U.S. citizenship and security clearance eligibility
- Experience with federal claims systems preferred
