Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily administration of Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) pension plans.
- Conduct actuarial analyses and prepare detailed reports on pension fund status and solvency.
- Process retirement applications, perform calculations for annuities, and resolve complex benefit discrepancies.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal regulations, including ERISA, OPM guidelines, and Department of Labor standards.
- Provide expert guidance to federal employees regarding eligibility, vesting, and retirement options.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to optimize pension contribution strategies.
- Prepare documentation for federal audits and internal compliance reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of experience in pension administration, actuarial science, or federal benefits management.
- Deep understanding of federal retirement laws, including FERS, CSRS, and Thrift Savings Plans (TSP).
- Proficiency in financial software and federal HR information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP).
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail in data processing.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a federal background investigation.
