Responsibilities
- Administer and manage federal pension plans, ensuring accurate calculation of benefits and contributions.
- Conduct thorough audits of pension records to ensure compliance with ERISA and federal guidelines.
- Provide expert guidance and consultation to federal employees regarding retirement eligibility and pension projections.
- Collaborate with the Wichita, KS office to standardize pension processes across regional branches.
- Process retirement applications and coordinate with financial institutions for direct deposit setup.
- Prepare detailed reports for federal oversight agencies and internal management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal benefits administration, pension management, or actuarial science.
- Deep understanding of Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for complex data modeling.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with senior federal officials.
