Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal pension data, including CSRS and FERS calculations, to ensure accurate benefit projections for employees.
- Provide one-on-one counseling and guidance to federal employees regarding retirement eligibility, survivor benefits, and pension withdrawals.
- Review and process retirement applications and pension documentation to ensure strict adherence to federal regulations and agency policies.
- Collaborate with HR and Payroll teams to resolve discrepancies in pension records and payroll deductions.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate federal staff on pension plan updates and policy changes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal retirement legislation and internal benefit systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal benefits administration, pension planning, or retirement services.
- Deep understanding of CSRS (Civil Service Retirement System) and FERS (Federal Employees Retirement System) plans.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate accurate reports.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical pension concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
