Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate federal policies related to homeland security initiatives
- Analyze legislative impacts and recommend regulatory adjustments
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies in Illinois
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefings for senior leadership
- Monitor compliance with federal regulations across jurisdictional boundaries
- Lead cross-functional task forces on emerging security threats
- Manage stakeholder engagements with community partners
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Criminal Justice, or related field
- 3+ years federal policy analysis experience
- Proficiency in regulatory impact assessment methodologies
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills
- Experience with intergovernmental coordination frameworks
- Knowledge of homeland security statutes (DHS, FEMA, TSA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
