Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments of federal facilities and maritime assets in Long Beach
- Enforce DHS security protocols and ensure compliance with federal regulations (CFR 44)
- Manage access control systems and conduct background investigations for personnel clearance
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and Coast Guard on joint security operations
- Develop emergency response plans for security incidents and natural disasters
- Prepare detailed security reports and recommend mitigation strategies
- Maintain classified information handling in accordance with NISPOM standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal security or law enforcement
- Knowledge of ISM Code, MTSA regulations, and maritime security protocols
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or equivalent security credential
- Proficiency in security software systems (e.g., SIEM, access control platforms)
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to emergency deployments
- Strong written communication skills for reporting and policy documentation
