Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support for federal and state government networks and workstations.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network incidents efficiently.
- Ensure strict compliance with government security standards, including NIST and FedRAMP protocols.
- Perform system maintenance, patch management, and backup verification during off-peak hours.
- Document all technical interactions and create detailed knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with on-site government staff to ensure seamless IT service delivery.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technical engineering.
- Experience working with Federal or State government contractors is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) on a weekly basis.
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent is preferred.
