Responsibilities
- Process and manage veteran benefit applications with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate weekend scheduling for medical appointments and case management
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation systems
- Respond to veteran inquiries via phone, email, and in-person during weekend hours
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve service delivery issues
- Prepare and distribute weekend operational reports for leadership review
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and VA policies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience in federal/government setting
- Proficiency in VA-specific systems (VISTA, CPRS) or similar EHR platforms
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during off-peak hours
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid California driver's license (for occasional facility transport)
- Ability to pass federal background investigation and drug screening
- Experience with veteran services preferred
