Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of parks, trails, and recreational facilities, including restrooms and picnic areas.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of recreational equipment for games, events, and programs.
- Monitor playground areas to ensure safety and enforce park rules for visitors of all ages.
- Perform general landscaping duties, including trash removal, litter control, and light gardening.
- Support park staff during special events, festivals, and community gatherings.
- Interact positively with the public, answering inquiries and providing directions.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Parks Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina required to perform outdoor labor, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of park safety regulations and emergency procedures.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license is a plus.
