Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park equipment (mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems)
- Perform groundskeeping duties (mowing, pruning, litter removal, turf care)
- Assist with facility setup/breakdown for events and sports programs
- Monitor park safety conditions and report hazards promptly
- Support seasonal recreational programs (youth sports, festivals, fitness classes)
- Execute snow removal and winter maintenance protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of playgrounds and athletic courts
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean record
- Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or facility maintenance preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varying weather
- Strong communication skills for public interaction
- Basic knowledge of turf management and horticulture
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
