Location: Toledo, Ohio
Job Type: Full-Time (with flexible shift options)
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including digging, lifting, and hauling materials on construction and maintenance sites.
- Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment, including dump trucks, loaders, and jackhammers (training provided).
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Respond to emergency public works calls, including snow and ice removal during severe weather events.
- Ensure all work sites comply with OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Interact with the public in a professional and courteous manner, answering inquiries and directing traffic when necessary.
- Perform routine inspections of infrastructure to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly and perform work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance tools and equipment is a plus.
- Must be available for overtime and weekend work as required by city projects.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
