Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) for construction projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Maintain and repair public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist with stormwater management and erosion control projects
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety standards
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with GIS mapping software a plus
