Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks, asphalt equipment) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency repairs during extreme weather events
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Nevada Class C driver's license (CDL preferred)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in extreme heat conditions and lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and power equipment
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
