Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (trucks, loaders, graders)
- Perform road repairs, drainage maintenance, and vegetation control
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and prepare detailed reports
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and city protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public projects
- Respond to emergency weather-related maintenance requests
- Support sustainability initiatives through resource-efficient practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years in public works or construction maintenance
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
