Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power saws, trenchers) safely
- Maintain public spaces including parks, trails, and drainage systems
- Assist in emergency storm response and infrastructure repairs
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Support equipment maintenance and inventory management
Qualifications
- Valid Alaska driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (paid training provided)
- Basic tool knowledge and mechanical aptitude
