- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum computing, biotechnology integration, and AI ethics
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with potential 2026+ market impact
- Translate complex technical concepts into compelling business narratives for executive stakeholders
- Oversee patent strategy and intellectual property development for breakthrough innovations
- Mentor a team of futurists and technology analysts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 or scale-up
- Proven track record forecasting tech trends with 85%+ accuracy
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Experience developing ethical frameworks for disruptive technologies
- Exceptional data modeling and scenario planning capabilities
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management preferred
