Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update geospatial databases and mapping systems for county departments.
- Create high-quality maps, charts, and visualizations to support planning, engineering, and public outreach projects.
- Perform complex spatial analysis and data modeling using industry-standard GIS software.
- Integrate GIS data with other enterprise systems and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Train staff and stakeholders on the effective use of GIS tools and data products.
- Assist in the design and implementation of location-based services and mobile mapping solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in GIS analysis, mapping, and database management.
- Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS (Desktop and Server) and experience with SQL databases is required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and derive meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
