Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive maps and spatial databases for county departments.
- Perform complex geospatial analysis to support emergency response planning and infrastructure development.
- Collect, verify, and digitize spatial data from various sources to ensure database integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret data requirements and deliver high-quality visualizations.
- Provide technical support and training to staff regarding GIS software and applications.
- Ensure compliance with county data security and privacy standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience with Esri ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, and ArcGIS Online).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel to various county sites as needed.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
