Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of complex geodatabases and spatial data models for county departments.
- Design and deploy custom web applications and interactive maps using ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro.
- Perform advanced spatial analysis and statistical modeling to support urban planning, public health, and public safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT staff and external partners to integrate GIS solutions with enterprise systems and third-party data sources.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with county and federal standards through rigorous QA/QC processes.
- Provide technical guidance and training to colleagues on GIS software and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in GIS analysis, database management, and software development.
- Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, and Python scripting (Pandas, NumPy).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience managing geodatabases (File Geodatabase, SDE).
- Experience with web mapping technologies (ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcGIS Dashboards) is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
