Your Role:
As an IT Systems Specialist, you will serve as a technical subject matter expert, overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex information technology systems that support state operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce strict cybersecurity protocols and protect sensitive government data.
- Provide advanced technical support, training, and guidance to government staff and end-users.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execute regular system backups and maintenance cycles.
- Document technical configurations, standard operating procedures, and system architecture for future reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT support.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Azure Administrator are strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
