In this role, you will lead technical initiatives, optimize legacy systems, and ensure seamless data integration across various state agencies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex database systems and enterprise applications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with NY State privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers, and state agency stakeholders.
- Conduct system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for technical issues.
- Document technical processes, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, database management, or software development.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Microsoft Azure or similar cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of government IT frameworks and data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, NY State regulations).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Valid New York State Driver’s License (sometimes required for on-site support).
