Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain accurate geospatial maps and databases using ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.
- Collect, validate, and integrate spatial data from various sources to support county projects.
- Analyze complex geographic data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Create and update technical documentation, including metadata and data dictionaries.
- Collaborate with engineering, planning, and public works teams to ensure data accuracy.
- Perform quality assurance checks on all GIS datasets to ensure compliance with federal and state standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software, specifically ArcGIS.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex spatial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environment.
