Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and maintain spatial data using GPS units, GIS software, and field survey equipment.
  • Design, create, and update high-quality maps, charts, and visualizations for internal and public use.
  • Collaborate with engineering, planning, and public works departments to support project mapping needs.
  • Perform quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) checks on all data layers and map products.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the City's Enterprise GIS platform.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Cartography, or a related field required.

  • Strong understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and cartographic principles.
