Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement and monitor network security measures, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for internal staff.
- Perform regular system backups, patch management, and disaster recovery planning to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Document system configurations, security protocols, and technical procedures for compliance.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience in systems administration or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud services (AWS or Azure).
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a US Citizen and eligible for government background clearance.
