Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain state government IT infrastructure including cloud platforms and network systems
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to state agencies across Texas
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects and system upgrades
- Document IT processes and procedures for knowledge management
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues
- Train agency staff on new technologies and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or system administration
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and network security
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Experience with government IT compliance standards (FISMA, NIST)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Texas residency required for remote position
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
