The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Analyst to join our Operations Planning team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and data analysis on municipal transit trends, ridership patterns, and operational efficiency metrics.
- Prepare detailed, high-level reports and briefing documents for agency leadership and city officials.
- Assist in the development and review of public policy proposals and procedural guidelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and streamline government processes.
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations and reporting standards.
- Facilitate community engagement initiatives by organizing public forums and compiling stakeholder feedback.
- Update and maintain internal databases and documentation systems to ensure data accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Political Science, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in government operations, public policy analysis, or a related administrative role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various city locations as needed.
